How ParentFit collects, uses, stores and protects your personal and health information.

Last updated: 1 June 2025 · ParentFit Pty Ltd (ABN XX XXX XXX XXX)
In plain English We only collect what we need to care for your parents, we never sell your data, and we protect health information with extra care. This policy explains exactly what we collect, why, and your rights over it.

1Who We Are

ParentFit Pty Ltd ("ParentFit", "we", "us") is an Australian company providing in-home health and wellness subscription services to elderly parents in India, on behalf of family members living abroad. We are the data controller responsible for the personal information described in this policy.

Contact our privacy team at privacy@parentfit.com.au.

2Information We Collect

We collect only what is necessary to deliver our service:

  • Account & contact data — your name, email, phone/WhatsApp number, country of residence, and login credentials.
  • Participant (parent) data — the enrolled parent's name, age, city in India, and home address for service delivery.
  • Health information — blood test results, medical history disclosed to us, dietician notes, and fitness assessments. This is sensitive information handled with heightened protection.
  • Payment data — billing details processed securely by our third-party payment provider. We do not store full card numbers on our servers.
  • Usage data — how you interact with our website and app (pages visited, actions taken), collected via cookies and analytics.

3How We Use Your Information

We use your information to: deliver and coordinate in-home services; arrange blood tests and dietician/trainer visits; communicate progress and welfare updates; process subscription payments; provide customer support; comply with legal obligations; and improve our services. We will never use your health data for advertising.

4Legal Basis for Processing

We process your data on the basis of: your consent (given when you sign up and accept our waiver); performance of our contract with you; our legitimate interests in operating and improving the service; and legal obligations. You may withdraw consent at any time by contacting us.

5Who We Share It With

We share data strictly as needed to deliver the service:

  • Service providers in India — pathology labs, dieticians, personal trainers and Buddies who deliver your subscribed services.
  • Technology providers — secure hosting, database, and payment processors bound by data protection agreements.
  • Legal authorities — only where required by law.

We never sell your personal or health data to third parties.

6International Data Transfers

Because we serve families abroad and parents in India, your data may be transferred between Australia, India, and your country of residence. We ensure appropriate safeguards are in place for all cross-border transfers in line with applicable privacy laws.

7How We Protect Your Data

We apply industry-standard security measures including encryption in transit (HTTPS/TLS), access controls limiting staff access to only what they need, row-level database security so each account can only access its own data, and regular security reviews. No system is perfectly secure, but we treat health data with the highest level of care.

8Data Retention

We keep your data only as long as needed to provide the service and meet legal obligations. If you cancel, we retain records as required by law (e.g. financial records) and then securely delete or anonymise the rest. You can request deletion at any time (see Your Rights).

9Your Rights

You have the right to: access the data we hold about you; correct inaccurate data; request deletion; object to or restrict processing; withdraw consent; and request a copy of your data in portable form. To exercise any right, email privacy@parentfit.com.au and we will respond within 30 days.

10Cookies & Analytics

Our website uses essential cookies to function and optional analytics cookies to understand usage. You can control cookies through your browser settings. We will request consent for non-essential cookies where required.

11Children's Privacy

Our service is intended for adults arranging care for elderly parents. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18.

12Changes & Contact

We may update this policy and will post the revised version here with a new "last updated" date. For any privacy question or complaint, contact privacy@parentfit.com.au. If you are in Australia and unsatisfied with our response, you may contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC).
